So Carrington is now six years old....but still looks like a three year old.

..I'm the boss of my birthday..

So I come home from work and the child is super anxious to open her presents. She rips everything out only to get to the next one. Guess it's a dual gift since she got a bed set so she can now sleep in her own bed, and we get our bed back!

If only it were that simple however, once done I ask if it's time for her cake (since I picked up some nice candles on the way home) and I head downstairs.

Hmmmm.....now where is it? I look in the fridge, nothing there. I look in the oven, nothing there. I even look in the microwave....nothing there. I ask Christa about it and she says she put it on a plate in the microwave.

Well uh...nothings there. She comes downstairs, opens the microwave, and gasp! Nothing is there. "I put it on a plate so the kids wouldn't get them", "you mean that plate on the counter with one cupcake on it?"

She turns around fuming saying "Thats it! It's time for bed!" But....I didn't get any? I head downstairs later to grab the one cupcake that the kids didn't devour while my mouth is salivating anticipating the yummy pink cupcake and.....

The plate is empty!!! Dang kids! Grrrr...#@!@

While I'm redoing the site, I'm reposting some of the old videos we did a while back.

Take Your Sons and Daughters to work day. This year I was able to take both Ashley and Madison to work with me. This year Madision had her chance to hold a million dollars!

..home again..

So rather than go to where I now work, I took then to where I used to work. It felt like I was just comming back from a weekend. It felt kinda right, but I know that my new department is where I belong and am needed.

The girls had fun, they got to pretned like they were a teller, took a PC apart and back together and connect it to a network, held a million dollars which Madison said she wanted to do more than just hold it. Yup, can see it now....six o'clock news showing an eleven year old running off with a million bucks! It weighs almost as much as she does!

On the way home I was feeling a bit generous, yes, that happens sometimes and we stopped by El Tepyac to pick up a Manuels Special for dinner. The burrito was the size of Carrington but was soooo yummy.

The weekend is just about here and I'm already going through my mental checklist of things we've been putting off like clearing out Madison and Lauren's room so we can paint and remove the carpet, fix or replace the washing machine cuz I'm tired of doing the Karate Kid thing washing clothes or going to the laundry matt, and the usual tons of cleaning....oh....and the backyard.

Maybe....I'll just take a long nap. Oh, one more thing. I'm still rebuilding the site so not all of the archived news is there yet, nor the pictures.

April 23, 2012

I get a text from Christa telling me that she is in pain and not feeling well. Her perscription isn't due to be filled for another two or three weeks and not having it is also making her feel naseated.

..Happy Anniversary..

I leave work early and within three miles form getting home I see smoke coming out from the front right side of my car and the temperature guage is about 3/4 of the way. I just got my car back and already something is happening?

After stopping a few times I'm finally able to get home. I get out and pop the hood, and see coolant had been leaking. I pay nearly $3,000 to get my car fixed and this happens?!?

Can't worry about that now, have to get Christa to the E.R. We hit the road with the girls and they start telling us how there is a couple at the park making out. Lauren says "Yuck...they're French Kissing", SAY WHAT?!? Where did you hear that from I ask. "Madison told me", uh....Madison....where did "you" hear that form and how do you know what it is? Uh, Ashley told me. Grrr.

"Ash....do you even know what that is"? She proceeds to tell us and I ask her where she learned that from. She said she saw it on a game online and then I start tunning her out thinking that I'd rather touch the scoulding hot radiator cap with my bare hands while I open it up and have super hot coolant filled steam shoot up into my eyes while my lungs burn and melt from what I breathe in!

I'll deal with her later, in the meantime we drop Christa off and head home since she'll most likely be there for about three to four hours so the kids can finish up their homework. Such a nice wedding anniversary today.

And....we're back! After a six month haitus I decided to change hosting companies and are back online. I continued to write a few times until I could finally post something again just to get our thoughts down on what has been happening. Sadly I lost two years of posts, hence the change in hosting companies.

..It cost what?!?..

So I finally get to pick my car up in the morning after almost a week and $3,000. At least I don't have to worry about my car breaking down for quite a while but looks like we'll be living on a Ramen diet for several months.

Why is it that kids do not like to take a shower every night, with the exception of Ashley. The other three always put up a fight, you'd think I had boys instead of girls. I know....time to teach them a japanese word..."kitanai", meaning dirty!

I don't think I've mentioned yet how Ashley is really into anime these days, so much that she constantly listens to these retarded anime songs and it is driving us crazy! My fault I guess but at least she's taken an interest in learning the language. Good luck with that since I don't speak it but Grandpa Harry loves it, though as old as he is he probably already forgot.

Does anybody know how to get rid of bags under your eyes? I've noticed over the past few weeks that beneath the right side of my eye my skin is sagging. Crap. Does that mean I'm actually begining to look my age? Oh fudge, now what?

April 12, 2012 1:10 PM

Let's begin with last night. I'm on the laptop when Christa begins mumbling and shouts out "Ash Hole"! Huh? Is she calling Ash or...oh wait....she just said the "A" word in her sleep!

..return receipt..

I tap her on the leg to wake her up and good thing I was out of reach cuz she looked like she was about to hit somebody! She said that she was having a bad dream.

This morning when I asked her about it, she said that in her dream, a man was wrapping up Carrington in wrapping paper saying "I like to gift wrap kids".....

I leave for work after dropping a crying Madison off at school and am almost at work when my car just sputters at a stop and then nothing.....

I put the car into park and turn the key to the off position then back on. Uh oh....it didn't start. I try it again and still nothing. Farfegnugen! I start to think about what could have happened.

The starter was replaced a few years back but that wouldn't stop the car, only prevent it from starting. The tempature gauges show normal so It didn't overheat and freeze the engine.

So I get the car towed to the local mechanic and find out it is the timing belt. Dang....It's been almost four years since I've had it done but I look at the bright side of things since it has to be done anyway. Might as well get an oil change while I'm at it too.

5:00 PM the mechanic calls and they tell me "bad news", okay, when you get a phone call and the person on the other end says bad news your body tends to cave in on itself while your heart rate goes up and your breathing gets shallow all the while you begin to break out in a cold sweat. So...."bad news....it looks like the head is damaged and we'll have to send it out to a machine shop to see if they can repair it".

Now I know it's cheaper to just get these repairs done than get a newer car but dang it, we just had our taxes done and are getting enough of a refund to pay off the taxes that we owe with a little extra to catch up on other bills! Why is it you can never enjoy extra money before something happens...every....time!

Oh....it gets better. Our cat had jumped up on the counter earlier, tore into the meat that was thawing out, and took off with our dinner. Not only that, but ants are all over the place because the dang kids had left candy wrappers all over the place from Easter. I give up. I'm going to go lay down on the train tracks now.

March 25, 2012 1:15 AM

Here we go again! Bella had her first kitten from her third pregnency. Number two just popped out! I gotta say watching her eat the afterbirth made me quesy and my stomach is still feeling it.

..kick the kitty..

Not sure how many kittens she'll have this time around, I just hope it's a small litter. I'm thinking it's the Earth, Wind & Fire music we have playing that is helping her cuz they are cool like that!

Meanwhile...Chi Sai, one of her brood from her previous litter last year is sticking his paws underneath our bedroom door trying to get in. I must be stupid cuz you'd think after all this time, enough would be enough but it's my fault for not getting rid of all these dang animals!

Maybe this is God's way of teaching me patience since I'm always praying for it. On another note, I'm pretty dang tired and am getting a bit delirious so exuse me if I begin typing gibberish....and here comes number three! #@!%....I'm going to throw up now.

You know, I dread getting up early during the week and so look forward to the weekends when I can sleep in but for some reason I end up waking up even earlier! Farfegnugen...it was just the afterbirth which she licked up...oh no...my stomach. It is now 1:43 AM.

Have I mentioned how tired I am? I've been up since 5:00 AM yesterday. While I'm typing this, I can hear Christa saying how cute they look. NOOOOOO! No more! We're already outnumbered by animals here and I'm the one that always has to clean out the litter box! Alright....so it's 2:27 AM and number four has not made it's way out yet....I'm tirrreeeddddd. Flippin cat!

We are still waiting for number four...kind of reminds me of when Carrington was born, minus the nurse who stabbed me but that is a story already told almost six years ago. Jeez...it's been nearly six years since Carrington was born and she still looks like she's a two year old.

So all in all, Bella had five kittens. I'm tired, we're out of coffee creamer, and I'm fwabby. Have a nice day.

October 20, 2011

So it's been a very long time since we've put anything up. It has gotten more difficult to find time as the girls have gotten older and now that all four of them are in school we are even busier!

..don't hataplaya...

We were very fearful of Carrington going to kindergarten... very fearful. We didn't know what to expect with her personailty and attitude. But wonder of wonders she takes it seriously and calls it her work.

She is so excited when she comes home and is exploding with excitement to share what she's learned for the day!

October 12, 2009

Here we go again! As Christa is finally getting over the flu and her bronchitas, Ashley starts to run a fever again followed by Lauren. I begin to wonder if it will take a while to get this house virus free again since it seems to be making it's rounds. On top of that the

..and the hits just keep on comin

ants are making their way back into the house compliments of Carrington and her never ending trail of crumbs she leaves behind as she walks through the house with food in her hands. I dream of the day when we can have a clean, quiet house.

So Christa's television debut will be this Thursday on channel 9. This is the episode of the daytime talkshow "The Doctors" that she went to film a few weeks ago to discuss ways of dealing with lice. I know she enjoyed it because when they asked her if she would be willing to go back for another show she let them know she would gladly do it.

Now if only we could get the kids noticed. I think they would be good on a Disney or Nickelodeon show. Maybe I should send in some of the videos we shot to see what they think. They can start a new show titled "Stinky Monkey Finger Toes" or something like that.

So you may have noticed (unless you're my dad or my sister in law in Oklahoma) that I gave the site a new look. I'm still experimenting so links to the album and archive page will still show the old format until I can update it but we all know how that goes so until next time.
